My copy of Super Princess Peach also showed up today, and so far (through the first four stages of the first world) it's pretty good - I mean, I'm obviously not far in at all, but the physics all feel right, the graphics are SNEStastic, and the screentouching, though pretty transparently gimmicky, doesn't feel tacked on. I'd never played Tetris against anyone before last night, so I basically just caught beating after beating online, but then I looked up and it was four hours after I'd started playing. If only they could come up with an unloseable stylus, it'd be perfect!ĭS TETRIS IS THE FUCKING BIZNESS. I can't say enough good things about this system. I'm also sorely tempted by Band Brothers and Ouendan even though I am TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE at rhythm games. I'm sure I'll probably get no further than %75 through it, as is always the case with me and Treasure games, but MAN this should be great)Īnd I'm still mulling over picking up Mario & Luigi and Metroid Pinball (mostly for the rumble pack to use with M&L, although a good pinball game is pretty inexhaustible). Bleach (FOUR PLAYER WIFI FIGHTING GAME MADE BY TREASURE OMG. Black Bass Fishing (Playing Animal Crossing has made me want a good fishing game for the first time in my life, and apparently the Black Bass series is a pretty decent one. Ultimate Brain Games (simple chess/checkers/backgammon/etc + wifi. New Super Mario Brothers, Super Princess Peach (2d platformers from Nintendo - I mean duh.) But it seriously looks like it could be something unique and awesome, so I wannit.) Electroplankton (I hate the fact that it's only being sold through online channels since it's the definition of the kind of game I pick up "while I'm in the store" and then turn out to love. And of course, the wifi mode should be great, or at least until I actually go online and start getting massacred by 13-year olds) Metroid Prime: Hunters (I usually hate all console FPSes, but it seems that they may have stumbled onto a control scheme that makes enough sense to my motor-skills cortex that I really really really wanna play it. Upcoming DS games I'm looking forward to: There won't be any significant differences in the graphics of Revolution compared to Xbox 360 and PS3. No Revolution games will be shown in 2005. N64 games will have better framerate on Revolution but there won't be significant graphical improvements. You'll be able to download retro games from all regions (for instance, a European user could download Super Mario RPG from the US server). LAN multiplayer in Revolution will be similar to DS's download & play function. Revolution will launch worlwide within a 14 week window. This adapter will be compatible with both DS & Revolution. The USB Wi-fi adapter will available on Nov 25th at 39.95 €. Nintendo of Europe will set up over 25,000 wi-fi hotspots across Europe. Every DS has a MAC code, and you'll have to give this code to your friends to be able to play and chat with them." On the other hand, if you play against a friend you'll be able to chat. "If you don't know the people you are playing with, you won't be able to chat with them, to protect the privacy of the young users. In an interview wit (online Spanish magazine), Jim Merrick of NoE confirmed the friend chat in Mario Kart DS, as well as a bunch of info about Revolution:
